Do this and say bye-bye to FEAR

When I was younger I just wanted to escape.
I was given my first joint when I was 15 yo and despite the fact I turned green right away, I kept on trying. I loved getting high!
I became really good at it and it was helping me a lot because from doing 15+ hours of extra-curriculum sports activities, I was not able to walk properly with a health issue in both knees.
Sports were saving my life until then. It was my zone to express all frustration, anger, and getting out of my head down to my body.
I always had more energy than the average and needed a lot of training to ground myself. And I damaged my knees….
When the knee specialist told me I had to stop all forms of training, I had no more outlet to express all that energy.
Smoking pot was definitely helping… until a certain point….
And then, a couple of years later, I was going dancing and some guy told me if I was swallowing that pill he had given me, I would be able to dance.
See, dance was one of my favorite thing to do.
I remember dancing every evening at home and even teaching my sister how to move her body (she was so rigid but after years of practice, she became really good at it!)
So, when he told me I could dance, I didn’t care what could be the consequences of that pill.
And I danced! It was so so good! OMG, I can say that I never felt so much pleasure until then.
The next day I could not move but I repeated that process many times (too many times)
Until my parents realized something was wrong, and that was a huge drama. (I’ll pass on the details here).
I have been through many more episodes like that later on but if I look back at that particular time when I was not even a young adult, I was still a teenager, I do realize I was not well.
I was screaming for help!
My friends and I went out a few months before and two of my friends had died in a car accident while we were all out together.
Back in the 90’s, we didn’t really get much ‘emotional’ support and we were just meant to ‘get on with it.
I did a lot of work to free myself from all the addictions I had and when I thought I was free, I could see subtle layers of different things I was doing… until I was completely FREE.

We all have some kind of thing we do repeatedly and it’s important to watch ourselves: can we not do it? And if not, what happens if we try?
I support a lot of women who suffer from addictions and when they are ready to do the work, to heal the heart and love self, it is magical to witness them blossoming.
Now, we have a very high number of women on prescribed drugs and that is also a form of addiction.
When I speak to my clients, I ask them if they ever looked at what’s in those drugs or even people sharing their stories trying to get out of them.
I’m not a medical doctor and certainly cannot recommend that but I do believe we should, at least, be a little curious about what we are swallowing and have a plan to set ourselves for freedom.
