We believe we are living our life in complete free will, but the reality is that most of our decision comes from thoughts that are derived from beliefs that you’ve inherited as a child.
Up to the age of seven, we are like sponges, absorbing everything around us and accepting much of it as true, especially when it comes from our parents. The confusion and blind belief of this period can also lead to the early formation of trauma and other deep problems.
When I work with people, within a short time, I can tell a lot about them by just knowing where they come from and within which environment they have grown up.
My parents got married and were poor. They started a company, worked a lot to survive and be the providers for us all. As a result, we didn’t spend as much time as we wanted with them. They were busy and tired.
They have succeeded and for them it meant making money, being able to be the provider for our education.
I was lacking attention and went one some difficult years when I was a teenager. I was not well, going through a hard time and always regretted not having spent more quality time with my family. I certainly don’t blame them because they did the best they could and I understand that life is just a game and even with parent fully present, they would be more lessons and challenges to gain from elsewhere.
But coming from this environment, I also had this strong unconscious belief that Success = Money but I also have this massive need to spend quality time with my family. I have been in conflict at times and have had to regularly prioritize to make sure I was 100% clear about what Success means to ME. Not to my parents but to ME.
It’s an exercise! Last year, we went through some tough time with intense grieving with my partner and during those times, you can only remember that the “game of Life” has an end.
We asked ourselves: What would we love to have done if today was the last day?
What would we do if we were financially fully secured for life?
We have defined Success and what it means to us and continuously refer to it for guidance.
In today’s video, I’m sharing tips to define what’s important to you and how you can make sure you are taking necessary actions to feel successful!

When you define consciously what you value in life and what makes you feel successful, you have a map to start taking actions.
We always feel we are immortal, and we have so much time and we tend to put what really matters on hold for later.
In the past two and a half years I have been working on my business and working aside and at times I felt so overwhelmed with it all. I have had to consciously decide to stop working when I am with kids.
I shut my laptop down, we spend quality time together and I even hide my phone. My business can wait but my kids cannot and in 10 years, they won’t need me as much and I will have so much more time for my work.
I want to leave with no regret. What about you?
I hope this video will help you get closer to the best you.
