The start matters

Do you ever hear the alarm and snooze it until you’re actually late? Then it’s a race to get showered while brushing your teeth, getting dressed without time to fully dry and finally when you get to the coffee machine, your heart is already pumping as if you just finished a HIIT session.

Once upon a time, I was like that and to be fair, as my alarm clock goes at 5 am nowadays, if I don’t go to bed on time or have a really poor night, I may sometimes miss out on my morning rituals and I am that person I just described.

When I have a day like that, I’m all over the place and don’t achieve much: the start matters! Yes it does, it actually determines how you are throughout the whole day.

When I was single with my twin boys, a full-time job, studying aside and setting up my business: I felt busy. I mean: BUSY!

I have implemented many things that have given me time. And the first thing to do is to change the way you wake up and start the day.

In this video, I’m sharing why the start matters and you know how tempting (unconsciously tempting) it is to surf. Not the wave but the web and it’s probably the worst thing we can do.

I am super guilty of having done it and I had to get that phone out to control myself.

Seriously, I would stop the alarm and without even thinking about it, I would be checking the weather and my emails and …. Social media….

This is the shortcut to feeling CRAP! Yes sorry for my French here but this is a NO NO NO if you want to feel amazing.

I took that thing out, stopped it (flight mode is still on) and got myself an alarm that wakes me up in stages. It is changing everything: my productivity, my will power and most importantly I feel amazing.

Mornings are a gift to start something new, achieve some dreams or at least get closer and the way you wake up influence the entire day.
